Fall Apples and Show and Tell

 Two of our other class projects have involved making homemade applesauce as well as learning about other animals.  The student below is sharing her family pet!

Under the Sea- Ocean Dioramas

The students were asked to study an animal from the ocean.  They did a research page about their animals life style, diet, habitat, enemies, and such.  They then had to design a project to show their animal in its habitat.  This is what some of them designed.

 The students were then asked to share with their classmates all their facts and how they built the project.  They did an AMAZING job sharing!

 After sharing with our class, we then invited the other classes within our school to see and learn about the ocean and its animals.  Thsi student was share facts about the eel.

Can you believe that on the 1st day of school we received a present?  One that would test our patience and one that would make us use our prediction and thinking skills.

It was a watermelon. 

We weighed, measured, named and then ate our present!

Around the World

All year long we have been studying places around the world.  Mr. Reid, our principal, came to talk to us about China.  He visited China several years earlier and we had a chance to see his pictures and learn about the amazing adventure he had visiting a different country.

Fairy Tale Day 2011

Our class had a great time reading some of our favorite fairy tales.  We even had time to make masks and write make-believe stories.

A wild and crazy week!  We are building pictures, messages, and tools for our BLOG.  Our other second grade friends have checked out the site and we have some fun updates coming.

Well, here it is!  The first official post to Mrs. Robson's Classroom BLOG!  We are busy building ideas, pictures, slide shows to add at a future date, but just couldn't wait to get it started.
