Field Trip Fun!

 Our 2nd grade field trip the Hutchinson Cosmosphere was amazing!

 We visited the IMaX movie and watched a great film about the Coral Reef.

 We then traveled to the Dillon Nature Center and learned about pond animals.

 Our classes even had the chance to go "hand" fishing for scuds, leeches, and moss.

 A lovely day to be outside in Nature!

Spring Fever!

What a crazy Spring!  Everything from snow to rain to field trip days.  Below is our trip to the local Screenprinting business Make Your Mark.

 

 We learned about small business, goods and services, and the importance of computer designs

 We even had a chance to pose for a group photo in our Fabulous new t-shirts!

Our adventure continues!  Our class headed to the local Post Office.  We learned many new things and even mailed out our FLAT STANLEYS.

Our Flat Stanleys will be traveling the United States.  Our first journey was through the Post Office with 1 of our local carriers.

 We had a great visit and we can't wait to see who and what else Flat Stanley will see and do.

It was a super great day of reading! Each year our school celebrates Read Across America. This year we read on the "Comfy Couch", we ate Oh the Places You'll Go cookies, we even snacked on Truffala Trees! We can't wait to celebrate some more!!!!
